“A book is a dream you hold in your hands.” Neil Gaiman The Gomti Book Fair took place at Lucknow University from 20th to 28th September 2025. It brought together publishers, authors, students, and book lovers from all around. The campus turned into a lively centre for knowledge, culture, and creativity. The event featured a broad selection of books, including academic texts, reference materials, fiction, non-fiction, biographies, and contemporary literature.
Students and faculty from Isabella Thoburn College (Professional Studies) visited the fair on 24th September, 2025. Guided visits were organized to help students discover the latest publications in their fields, connect with publishers, and explore new learning tools. Faculty members engaged with authors and book distributors to identify useful academic resources that could aid in teaching and research.
The fair visit proved to be very beneficial for students. It expanded their views and encouraged them to develop a reading habit beyond the classroom. This keeps the academic community in touch with current knowledge. The involvement of students and faculty added energy to the event, making it a memorable and valuable academic experience.
