On 9th July 2025, Isabella Thoburn College (Professional Studies) proudly participated in the meaningful and inspiring campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” a statewide initiative led by Yogi Adityanath, aligned with the vision of Narendra Modi for a greener and more sustainable future.
This initiative went beyond the act of planting trees—it symbolized love, gratitude, and responsibility. Each sapling planted was a tribute to our mothers, honoring them by giving life back to nature.
As part of the large-scale plantation drive across Uttar Pradesh, the college community came together with enthusiasm and a shared sense of purpose. The day began on a refreshing note, as students, faculty members, and staff gathered early in the morning with saplings and a spirit of unity. A variety of native plants, including Ashok, Harshingar, and Mehendi, known for their ecological and medicinal value, were carefully planted across the campus.
Adding a personal touch to the initiative, participants proudly took photographs with their saplings, tagging them with the campaign message “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.” The inspiring words of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath resonated with everyone, encouraging the plantation and protection of trees as an integral part of our lives.
The activity was marked by teamwork, joy, and a deep sense of commitment. Each sapling planted symbolized a promise—to nurture, protect, and sustain the environment for future generations.
Importantly, this initiative was not limited to a single day. The college has undertaken the responsibility of regularly watering, monitoring, and caring for the saplings to ensure their healthy growth. Each plant now stands as a living member of the college family.
The institution extends heartfelt gratitude to all students, faculty members, and staff who actively participated with dedication and enthusiasm. Through this initiative, the college did not just plant trees—it planted hope, responsibility, and a greener vision for tomorrow.
