Portal Ceremony – A Tradition of Welcome

The Portal Ceremony stood as a momentous and cherished occasion, marking the formal induction of students into the vibrant academic community of Isabella Thoburn College (Professional Studies). Held in the Seminar Hall, the event was graced by the esteemed presence of the President, Principal, faculty members, and coordinators, creating an atmosphere of dignity and celebration.
This meaningful ceremony symbolized the transformative journey of students as they stepped beyond school life and entered the realm of higher education. The programme commenced on a serene note with a prayer, followed by a warm and gracious welcome address. The President and the Officiating Principal shared inspiring words of wisdom, encouraging students to pursue academic excellence, uphold ethical values, nurture leadership qualities, and remain socially responsible individuals.
The highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic passage through the “Portal,” representing new beginnings, endless opportunities, and the pursuit of knowledge and growth. As students crossed this symbolic threshold, they were warmly welcomed into the academic fraternity.
